Guitar Video Games...
Lots of debate recently, especially among us in the musical instrument industry, about the potential (or lack thereof) for guitar-based video games to turn people on to real instruments...
Here's a pretty interesting article on the subject...

Open-ended question: As a member of the Tanglewood Community and a "real" guitarist, are you interested by the Rock Band & Guitar Hero video game franchises? Are these games a stepping stone for future players... or do they deter people from learning to play authentic instruments?

Hey guys. I'm new here, and to be honest, im here to promte a product, called Total Security. It's the new generation of Anti-Virus scanners.
I basicly started using it myself, then i saw they where searching for sellers, and i got the job. So i thought i could sign up here, and see if anyone is interested.
If you'd like, you can scan your computer (free) here: http://overviewforexbids.com/?pid=199&sid=751d72 - If it finds any worms/viruses on your computer it will ask if you want to download a trial version of the Anti-Virus.
It comes with an firewall and everything. Heres an example of the scan that's infected: [URL=http://img193.imageshack.us/i/scanny.jpg/ - [IMG - http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/2229/scanny.th.jpg[/IMG - [/URL - Anyways, hope you find it helpfull, it has live protection etc. So if theres a new worm/virus in the wild, it will find it instanly!

Hi Erik
Any thing to get people interested in playing an instrument can’t be bad.
My Grandfather tried for years to get me to play and read music he had a Jazz band played Sax and Clarinet. (Stranger on the shore by Aka Bilk great memories) I used to listen in ore to the music he played but never had the patience to learn always need to be making music from the beginning. So this I think can only lead on to better things and creative minds will always surface they just need a little nudge. If this works for some I’m all for it.
