 | Adrian Woon | Subject: Plectrum / Picks - slippage
I have an issue with the plectrum / pick always slipping between my thumb and index finger when I'm playing. Is it just me or have others experienced the same problem? Does anyone have any ideas on how to overcome this, aside from squeezing the plectrum for dear life? ..... lol | Sun, 07 Mar 2010 14:56:36 |

Excuse my French, but Gorilla Snot is the usual answer. My preferred method is to cut a cross hatch pattern onto the grip part of the plaectrum with a sharp pointed knife. | Mon, 08 Mar 2010 16:07:04 |

I am coming back to guitar after a break of 25 years and am encountering this problem of pick slippage too! Amazing, because I did not remenber having it in the past. I didn't know the Gorilla Snot, I'll try !! Presently I cut a small band of "Buterton" (a rubber tape auto-soldering for electricians) then stretch and roll this band round the pick. One turn and half only. Not so bad way! | Sat, 20 Mar 2010 20:26:12 |

Hi. Just make a hole with a office punch/punch plier in the middle of the pick. Greetings Ugorr | Mon, 22 Mar 2010 11:26:45 |

Hi there.
I cover half the pick area on both sides with double-stick tape, then cover the tape with abrasive paper, then trim the abrasive round the outside of the pick. I make sure that the abrasive doesn't come anywhere near to the point of the pick; it just covers the area where my thumb and finger grip. | Fri, 26 Mar 2010 13:41:14 |
