JohnnybSubject: Do I have a rare Tanglewood? Can anyone help?

in about 2001 i bought a Tanglewood Pendragon Blackmountain TBM 115L.  I can find reference to TBM 115S...not L.  Nothing!

Has anyone come across this model and what is the difference between the L and the S?

Any info greatly appreciated

It's a lovely guitar and it lives happily with me now in New Zealand.

Hi Johnnyb,

The Tanglewood Black Mountain Series was a collection of high-end guitars with AAA grade Solid Sitka Spruce tops finely tuned in Japan. The  "Pendragon" TBM 115L featured Solid Rosewood back and sides (while the 115S featured solid Mahogany). Apart from that, these sister models were essentially identical. Hope that helps! Here are the pages from the Black Mountain Series catalogue.
